Identifying Fake Escort Ads - Skip the Games Blog Post

Fake Ads & Disappointments

Skip the Games is an escort directory that looks sketchy since anyone can post for free with no age verification required. Disgruntled ex, jealous competition, etc. anyone!

They now have a link on ads that says “Read this First!” on each escort ad. It links to one of their blog posts discussing fake escort ads and how to avoid them.

It’s a pretty good post, but there are some problems I want with it from the escort’s point of view.

How To Verify the Image of a Provider

If a provider refuses to send you a verification photo, or video chat with you, move on — there are others out there. If they send you a photo without the piece of paper or without holding up 3 fingers that you asked for, ask again. If you still don’t get the verification photo, move on.

Please move on indeed.

If the provider has a social media page that’s active with current photos, and that still isn’t enough for the client, then PLEASE MOVE ON.

If a client can’t do a simple Google search of the phone number on the ad to pull up the escort’s additional ads online with the same or more photos, then they should move on.

I don’t get why a client would even contact me if they were skeptical about my photos. I always do my research before contacting a professional service provider, and if I’m skeptical, I look further or move on to the next one.

Providers That Don’t Look Anything Like Their Photos

If the provider doesn’t want to take a couple minutes to snap a few photos proving that their photos are real, then either they aren’t real, or they’re not going to give you good service. Best to move on.

The sentence before the final sentence pisses me off. Deeply.

If the client doesn’t want to research further on their own to find a social media page or recent reviews discussing their looks, then they are either entitled or lazy and won’t make a good client.

Then, the message that STG suggests for the client to write to the escort regarding a verification photo is laughable:

Hi Barbie, before we set up a meeting, I’m wondering if you can send me a photo of yourself in the mirror holding up a piece of paper with the writing ‘Hi Fred‘ on it. I know your time is valuable, and I apologize for the inconvenience, but in the past I’ve been a victim of a bait-and-switch scam a few times: the provider photos in the ads looked nothing like the actual person that showed up at my door. I respect your privacy and I don’t need to see any nude photos, but I’d like to be able to generally see how your body looks as well, again just to make sure you look like the photos in the ad.

Thank you for your time,
Fredrick

Fred,

If you’ve been victim of the bait-and-switch a few times, not just once or twice, then that’s on you.

I would consider doing much more thorough research with Escort Index or Escort Fish that give the provider’s ad & picture history when you search their phone number. If the escort has a history of ads with same or similar photos of them throughout their advertising history, then it’s likely them and if they have any active social media with recent content, then they don’t need to verify with you when they have recent photos already.

If the provider is P411 verified, then they’re likely to look like their photos since false advertising is not allowed. If a provider doesn’t look like her photos, then they risk getting their P411 account deleted when reported.

If the provider allows reviews, then try to find some recent ones on review sites such as PrivateDelights to verify further.

Now, if you’ve tried to do all of the above with no luck, then you have a reason to request a verification photo since the provider has no footprint nor verification from a reputable source.

Avoiding Robberies by Providers

We’re Not Crazy Ex-Girlfriends Showing Up Unbeknownst

Never bring and unknown provider to your own place of residence, regardless of whether you are single or not.

I have personally had outcalls to a client’s residence.

I haven’t shown up to their houses unbeknownst to them nor stolen anything, so fuck this rule.

Ignorance.

Client Still Risks Getting Robbed by B&S

Get the provider to verify their image with you before setting a date. This will not only let you verify their looks, but may also deter a provider from robbing you, as she will know you have her photo.

It wouldn’t deter a bait-and-switch thief on a mission to take the money & run. After all, it was a fake photo they sent to the client.

So, either re-word this statement or add,

“Before asking a provider to verify their image, please do as much research on your own to find recent photos, recent reviews or history of ads with similar photos. It’s a buzz kill when a provider has so much info readily available but the client is too lazy to look. It might even scare the provider off and sense that you’re a pic collector if they do have recent information available online.”

Client’s Crusty IDs Aren’t Needed Anyways

When seeing a provider in their place of business, only bring the money you need for your date and a possible tip. Don’t bring your wallet nor any of your ID.

“If you’re operating a vehicle, please don’t bring your driver’s license even if driving yourself is your only way of transportation since escorts will strip you of everything you have!” (sarcasm)

Might as well just write what I wrote above, seriously………………

We don’t need their wallet or crusty ID anyways.

Fear Mongering Parking

If you are driving to the provider’s place, and it isn’t an upscale hotel, park at least half a block away and walk to the location. You can choose to leave your key in a magnetic car lock box under your car, or take your car key with you, depending on the area where you leave your car.

Dude.

If a provider is hosting from their private residence, they might have a camera on their doorbell.

So, the client can hide their boring ass Honda all they want. A clear image of their face is all they need if the client decides to behave badly during their encounter. So smile, you’re on Candid Camera!

Also, just take your damn key with you. No one is worried about your boring ass Honda but you.

Escorts & Hotel Rooms

Looking Around Provider’s Incall Hotel Room

When seeing a provider in their place of business, after walking into their room, greet the provider nicely and take a quick look around to make sure no one else is there. Make sure the apartment or hotel door is then locked with the chain or extra door stop in place to prevent anyone else from entering and surprising you. If the provider gets worried when you do this, just smile and say, “I once got robbed by a provider’s partner entering with a keycard she’d given her boyfriend, so I have to do this for my own security. You can check me for any kind of weapon if you’d like, but if you’re nervous about this I’ll have to leave for my own safety.”

This is the only one I agree with.

Clients are more than welcome to look around the hotel room if needed because I’ve heard horror stories myself of someone else in the bathroom and just… Nothing surprises me anymore.

Sir, feel free to take a look to ensure you that it’s just us. Promise.

If you’re seeing a provider in your hotel room, make sure you have the cash on hand to pay them, and lock away your wallet and other valuables like a phone or wristwatch in the room safe, or hide them somewhere high out of reach and out of sight, if the room doesn’t have a safe.

No hotel room is 100% safe. So, this is bad advice, STG.

Hotel staff have master codes to break into safes of forgetful clients who were just that spooked to remember their code.

If you’re seeing a provider in your hotel room, purchase your own safe to take with you to hide your valuables if you’re that scared — and take a deep breath. jeez

Welcoming Provider Into Hotel Room

If a provider comes to visit you in your hotel room, take a look through the keyhole first, then open the door with the chain attached and again look around, just to make sure there are no unwelcome extra visitors in the hallway. After the provider enters your room, give her a chance to look around, and then close and lock the door.

In my tender two years of providing, I have NEVER had a client pull this foolishness upon opening the door.

If that peephole ain’t enough to make you feel safe to welcome me inside, then let me go. Deuces, bro.

STG you really pushing it, and it makes me wonder if the author has dealt with negative experiences. So, they share this nonsense thinking they’re helping when it’s just added fear for no damn reason. This is legit stigma. Not all escorts are looking to cause harm with an accomplice.

Clients, please know that majority of the time, you can just open the door and welcome the escort as any other guest in your room.

Note: If your room has a connecting door to the other room, don’t be surprised if the escort bolts out the hotel (even without taking the money). She’s probably been busted in the past with those kind of rooms, and is not taking her chances.

Traveling Provider

If the provider is traveling, or you’ve never met them before, there is a somewhat increased risk of the provider taking the money and dashing out the door while you’re in the shower or washroom. Some people insist on not paying in advance because of this, but you’ll find that providers who have been ripped off before will be nervous unless you pay them in advance. This can lead to a poor session or a conflict instead of a session. You’ll have to determine what you do on a case by case basis, but we always suggest giving the provider the money upfront, and then letting them know that you will gladly tip after the session if you’re happy. This should put the provider at ease, and give them additional motivation.

If the provider is traveling, there’s an increased risk of never seeing her in your town again if she doesn’t get many suitors. So, treat her good so she returns.

She only travels to make more money. She’s not an outlaw with numerous names and numbers because that will eventually catch up to her. Do your research, bro.

Always pay her in advance, and always keep all of your belongings with you in the bathroom at all times when showering. Feel free to lock the door because she has no interest in stealing from ya, bro.

DEPOSITS ARE NEEDED FOR HOTEL ROOMS WTF

Don’t give a provider money to “pay for the hotel room”, or to “buy condoms in the store” or to “pay for parking” — in short, to walk out for kind of errand before you start your session. If a hotel room needs to be paid first, walk with the provider over to the desk to pay, or go pay it yourself, then return.

First, I require deposits for clients looking for an incall since I have to get a room. The deposit is to avoid last minute client cancellation crisis where I make no money and lose money. So, no deposit = no booking.

Second, don’t come with me to pay for the room. Risk of being outed by front desk who love to be polite and say my government name while telling me to enjoy my stay after paying.

Third, you wouldn’t even need to come with me to pay for the room in the first place since I already took care of business before you showed up wtf

Police Reports

If you have been robbed by a provider, because of the number of false reports we receive, we require a copy of a police report, or some kind of additional verification (like a link to another forum where this provider’s illegal actions are discussed) to take action against the provider.

No client is going to run to the police to report about that online hooker who stole from them.

They should dispute and get a refund through their bank from whatever payment processor they used to pay the provider. If the client has proof such as communication via text or email proving they sent the money and the provider ghosted, then they should try to resolve this with whatever payment processor was used.

  1. Venmo — if she’s not an authorized merchant using Venmo, report her ass for using Venmo for business transactions. It’s NOT allowed. Only authorized merchants authorized by Venmo can accept payment for services & goods. Dispute the transaction with your bank.

  2. Cash App — if they used Cash App, and it’s a personal account not a business one, then report them for accepting payments for goods & services on a personal account. Plus, they’re breaking another rule with accepting payments with people they don’t know in person on their personal account as well.

  3. PayPal — Buyers have way more protection than sellers on PayPal. That’s for damn sure, so complain to PayPal about a fraudulent merchant who stole their money.

  4. Bank — Clients should always do their best to dispute with their bank. They’ll work with them and reimburse your loss, and also report to any processor about the fraudulent escort using their services to scam so they can hopefully freeze their account to prevent future scams.

Escort Credit Card Verification — SCAM

Yes, yes.

This is probably the old part of this BS article that I agree with.
No legit escort will ever ask you for your credit card number to ‘verify’.

The only verification sites in our community are:

  1. Preferred 411

  2. RS-AVS

  3. GFEDating

  4. Have We Met?

These sites don’t have escorts asking for your credit card to ‘verify’ either.

TLDR; How to Identify Fake Escort Ads

  1. Never bring and unknown provider to your own place of residence, regardless of whether you are single or not.

    1. Rebuttal - Providers are discreet folks and aren’t looking to cause a scene, so calm the hell down.

  2. Get the provider to verify their image with you before setting a date. This will not only let you verify their looks, but may also deter a provider from robbing you, as she will know you have her photo.

    1. Rebuttal — Scammers will go the extra length of photoshopping the date & time onto photo of some girl’s photos they stole to bait clients. Legit providers will deny your request to photo verify and provide a link to their social media pages with frequent content of theirs they post.

  3. When seeing a provider in their place of business, only bring the money you need for your date and a possible tip. Don’t bring your wallet nor any of your ID.

    1. Rebuttal — Whatever makes you feel most comfortable…………..

  4. If you are driving to the provider’s place, and it isn’t an upscale hotel, park at least half a block away and walk to the location. You can choose to leave your key in a magnetic car lock box under your car, or take your car key with you, depending on the area where you leave your car.

    1. Rebuttal — if you seriously need to do all this before meeting me at my incall location, then deuces because I already screened you, so what are you hiding under your license plate that needs to be secret? As a matter-of-fact, I don’t care about getting a selfie of your license plate and myself together anyways.

  5. When seeing a provider in their place of business, after walking into their room, greet the provider nicely and take a quick look around to make sure no one else is there. Make sure the apartment or hotel door is then locked with the chain or extra door stop in place to prevent anyone else from entering and surprising you.

    1. Rebuttal — Fair enough.

  6. If you’re seeing a provider in your hotel room, make sure you have the cash on hand to pay them, and lock away your wallet and other valuables like a phone or wristwatch in the room safe.

    1. Rebuttal — Escorts don’t give a flying fuck about your crusty iPhone or your knockoff watch your wife bought you off the QVC channel. Seriously.

  7. If a provider comes to visit you in your hotel room, take a look through the keyhole first, then open the door with the chain attached and again look around, just to make sure there are no unwelcome extra visitors in the hallway. After the provider enters your room, give her a chance to look around, and then close and lock the door.

    1. Rebuttal — Sir, Please find a new hobby or other pursuits that don’t leave you scared for your life from someone who is smaller than you and looking to provide a good & enjoyable time for you for compensation. Chill…………

  8. If the provider is traveling, or you’ve never met them before, there is a somewhat increased risk of the provider taking the money and dashing out the door while you’re in the shower or washroom.

    1. Rebuttal — Bruh, you should’ve been showered before she even got there, then you wouldn’t of given the thief a chance to run with your money….

    1. Rebuttal — Legit providers like myself need a deposit for any incall appointments to secure a room, so if dude doesn’t want to pay it, then he won’t be seeing me. Furthermore, no provider would let a client walk to the front desk with her to pay for the room that’s in her government name……… This is a HORRIBLE blog post.
